Selamat Hari Paskah or Happy Easter

The girls were in the Easter Choir at the Int'l service, they "signed" the chorus to "I Can Only
Imagine". They had so much fun learning to do that!

Easter is kind of weird over here. Of course Easter is Easter wherever you are because of it's meaning and all that the Son did for us on our behalf, but there are no visual cues at all, and that makes it seem different. I guess being removed from all the commercialism of our Holidays has really been tricky because that coupled with no seasonal change, and it never quite "feels" like what it is suppose to feel like. It sneaks up on you. Does that makes sense? Maybe you just have to experience it to know what I am talking about. I mean how many times do we complain about the over commercialization of our holidays, yet when all that is removed it really is odd. Not bad, but definitely different.

We had a great week leading up to Easter with a couple of activities with the Interational ch*rch youth group, a Good Friday service with the Nationals, and then we attended both a National and an International service on Sunday. Wow, it was packed but fun! I don't have pics from the National services as my camera is now picking and choosing which days to operate (bummer), but I was able to get some shots from this weekend with my phone and by using Marshall's camera.

On the flip side, it was very disheartening to see so many people go on as though the day was just another day. So many went about their daily rituals hoping to earn the favor of that which can never be earned only received after believing. Please continue to lift up that the CEO will open their blind eyes! I never feel more the like the minority than on a day like this.

Hope you enjoy the photos. I can't believe how big the kids have gotten in the almost two years that we been here! Remember: You can click on each picture to enlarge it!
